Why Plant Churches?
Church planting is an appropriate and natural response to the gospel of Jesus Christ and to his call to make disciples of all nations. It flows from his commission to make disciples, baptise, and teach obedience to everything he commanded (Matthew 28:19–20).
Christ has promised that he will build his church, and that the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Scripture shows how the apostles took up the Lord’s commission, prayerfully and proactively planting new churches as outposts of God’s kingdom in the world. This pattern has continued throughout the centuries.
Indeed, God is still building his church today, and he calls his people to participate in this gospel-driven mission for his glory.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
Why Plant a Church in the Merrylands-Parramatta Region?
Merrylands and the wider Parramatta area present a unique and strategic opportunity for a new church plant. The suburb is marked by rapid population growth, cultural diversity, a youthful demographic, and a strong family orientation.
Planting a new church is one of the most effective ways to reach this growing area and a powerful means of renewing the wider Body of Christ.
